Nicki Minaj and Jason Statham Launch Their Own Celebrity Game Apps Like Kim K.

Nicki Minaj and John Statham will be joining the growing list of celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, and Britney Spears, by getting their own mobile game. Jason Statham from ‘The Transporter” and Trinidadian-born rapper, Nicki Minaj, are getting their own mobile celebrity game apps from the same people who helped Kim Kardashian with her game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.

CEO OF GLU MOBILE EXPRESSED HIS EXCITEMENT TO WORK WITH MS. MINAJ

The CEO of Glu Mobile, Niccolo de Masi, has released a statement saying that they look forward to collaborating with Minaj’s distinctive style and enormous global appeal with the Glu Mobile celebrity social gaming expertise. Neither Minaj, nor Glu Mobile have commented on any potential plot lines for her game, designs for characters, or any of the additional characters that will be involved.

Glu Mobile has announced that Nicki Minaj has used her voice, creative directorship and likeness exclusively to the company for the celebrity game app. This can be expected to be launched next summer.

JASON STATHAM’S CELEBRITY GAME APP WILL BE A FIRST PERSON SHOOTER GAME

As for Statham’s mobile game, it is going to be a first-person shooter (naturally) to be titled Sniper X: Kill Confirmed, and is due to be released this year. It will have Statham’s likeness, voice, and name, and utilize intense first-person shooter gameplay. This is expected to be similar to Hitman: Sniper, but with action star, Mr. Transporter himself, appearing in the game in some form.

Katy Perry will also be launching her own mobile celebrity game app for Glu, although the details of hers are still under wraps. Katy Perry’s is expected to be out sometime in the second half of 2015 and will again be showcasing the singing star’s likeness, personality and voice.

MOBILE CELEBRITY GAME APPS A NEW AND LUCRATIVE TREND IN HOLLWOOD

This is a very lucrative celebrity trend, with Kim Kardashian: Hollywood selling more than $74 million in just one year. It is expected that these three new celebrity game apps will do just as well, if not better.

Along with announcing these new celebrity game apps, Glu Mobile released their second-quarter results. The company’s reported revenue is a whopping $57.5 million with earnings of one cent per share.
