The company Volkswagen recently spoke of some great news for their company. They state that the original amount of vehicles with carbon emissions is smaller than they thought. The original number of vehicles was just misstated. The company said that they will save much more money than they originally thought as well.

Originally, the company had stated a lot of their vehicles were giving off carbon emissions. They stated that 800,000 of their vehicles were doing so. However, they now state that this number is only minor and not nearly as severe. This also means that they are going to be saving a lot more money now. They originally mentioned how they would have had to spend over $2 billion to fix this issue. They did not state how much it would cost now, but they said it would be a minor dent.

Volkswagen commented and said that nine of their models are experiencing this issue of emissions. They state that per every 100 kilometers that these models are emitting a carbon rate of around .2 liters. They did state that this was not going to damage the overall fuel economy for their customers. However, this is releasing more carbon to the world that it does not need.

One of the spokeswomen for the company stated some news that they could not clarify if this applied to every year of production or not. The rough estimate the company gave for vehicles emitting carbon was 36,000. So, they are unaware if this 36,000 vehicle estimate will apply to every year of production or not. However, the good news for them is they will save a lot of money. This ordeal was a win for Volkswagen.
