Yakuza 6 Isn’t Out But Gamers Are Very Excited for It

The new playthrough brings in a haul of new features in preparation for the PS4 release in Fall 2016 in Japan. SEGA released a video from the Ryu Ga Gotoku channel regarding the new playthrough.

The graphics look amazing, and it shows awesome footage of Kazuma Kiryu getting into a fight at a convenience store. The video shows Kazuma Kiryu walks in on a robbery with a knife, and has to fend for his life. Kiryu fights them off and leaves the convenience store in very poor conditions. The store owner assures Kiryu that the store is insured and even gives him a drink.

No Word on a Western Release, But We Have GTA 5!

Yakuza 6 has not gotten a Western release. All the West has that is similar to Yakuza 6 is Grand Theft Auto V. The game one of the best selling games of 2015, along with Call of Duty: Black Ops III and Halo 5. The Yakuza series is very similar to GTA 5, with exploration and combat modes. Both games feature exploring cities and going through missions.  Like Los Angeles is disguised as Los Santos in GTA 5, the Japanese Shinjuku district of Tokyo is fictionalized as Kamurocho.

Yakuza 5 Got Great Reviews

Yakuza 5, which was released to the West, received generally positive reviews when it was released, getting a score of 82 out of 100 on Metacritic. It was called one of the greatest games for PS3. It was praised particularly for its combat system and script. IGN said that the game was also a great show on Japanese culture, with amazing storylines and great combat mechanics. The Game Scouts called it a forward-thinking game.

Because of all of this, a western release of the Yakuza 6 would make perfect sense. Gamers are pretty excited about it, all over the world. We could hear of a western release if the game does well in Japan. In that respect, then we should be hearing about one pretty soon after the game launches.
