Top 4 Best Open World Games Besides GTA 5 Clapway

To say the world in GTA 5 is awe inspiring, is an understatement. Rockstar outdid themselves with GTA 5, and the entire game was beautifully designed. GTA 5 is indeed an open world video game and its one of the best of its kind. However, this doesn’t mean that other open world games are not on par with it. Outside of GTA 5, here are the best open world games of all time, in no particular order.

Top 4 Best Open World Games Besides GTA 5 Clapway

NUMBER 1: ASSASSIN’S CREED IV: BLACK FLAG

Come on now, you knew that an Assassin’s Creed game was going to make this list. This game is a big improvement to the often criticized Assassin’s Creed III. As you sail the open waters, you will find constant entertainment and the sense of adventure is masterful.

NUMBER 2: GTA III

GTA III is basically the Super Mario 64 of the open-world phenomenon. Just like Super Mario 64 started the 3D platformer, GTA III brought the open world genre on the map. This is one of the most legendary games of all time, and it is still a blast to play to this day.

NUMBER 3: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY

Let’s face it, superhero video games are not usually considered as the best video games. There are some great ones out there, but they are rare to find. This all changed when Batman: Arkham Asylum came out. Then, it changed again when the world played Batman: Arkham City. The experience in this game is second to none as you get to step into the infamous boots of Batman.

NUMBER 4: THE LEGEND OF ZELDA

Oh, the glory days of the Nintendo Entertainment System. This system is widely considered to be the best console of all-time, and The Legend of Zelda definitely contributed to that. OK, so this game doesn’t have the modern day allure of open world games, but the gameplay of the modern games can’t compare to the original Legend of Zelda, either.
