Top 2 Elevator Accidents Where Technology Failed Clapway

For some people, riding in an elevator is scarier than riding a roller coaster. It may seem silly, but some people are afraid of going on them. One of the reasons for this is because if an elevator has any sort of technology failure, people’s lives can be in jeopardy. If you have ever watched the 1994 classic Speed, then you know what can happen inside an elevator! Of course, that was due to a terrorist, and these following elevator accidents were due to technology failure.

FIRST ELEVATOR ACCIDENT

One horrific incident with an elevator malfunction happened to an individual where they quickly found themselves facing death. A man walked into an elevator like it was a normal day, and then suddenly technology struck in the wrong way. The elevator malfunctioned, and with the doors wide open the elevator was rushing upwards at 50 mph. It then collided with the roof, but shockingly the man survived. He had wounds to both his head and legs, but he lived to tell his epic story.

SECOND ELEVATOR ACCIDENT

This next accident will send chills down your spine, and if it doesn’t then you might want to make sure you have a soul. A CCTV video in China actually recorded the horrific death of an innocent nurse. With several people in the elevator, it suddenly started malfunctioning. The doors finally opened, but what happened next is truly horrifying. The nurse attempted to walk out of the elevator, and it started again. The problem is it started while she was halfway out, and this resulted in a horrific death. The passengers tried to get her down, but she was already decapitated. The passengers were left standing with her blood on them, and they were all scarred for life. Technology can be great, but when it malfunctions technology can also be deadly.
