NASA: To be Hot or Not

NASA: To be Hot or Not Clapway

The short answer is yes, it will be hot. NASA has said despite some cold snaps saw in the U.S and Europe, February was the hottest month ever. The globe is heating up at a much faster rate than anyone had previously thought. So is it the fault of man and our dirty energy or can we blame our ignorance on this years El Nino?

HOTTEST MONTH EVER REMINDS US OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change, you know, that thing that’s been nagging us for years? Well, it’s still here and it’s not getting any better. NASA has said that this past February has been the hottest month in the history of the world. In the meantime, ignorant people are driving around in their diesel Hummer’s blaming the government for such ludicrous propaganda. Yes, some parts of the world did experience a cold February, but that doesn’t mean climate change does not exist.

NASA TAKES TO TWITTER TO WARN THE WORLD

This wasn’t some social media intern writing snappy Facebook posts for NASA. Gavin Schmidt, the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies tweeted the data himself. That’s right, a man of his power and intellect uses Twitter and it’s not to show off that stupid BuzzFeed article about Gwenyth Paltrow’s $200 smoothie recipe. Schmidt took to social media to make a point about last month’s unique weather. The negative effect humans have on the Earth’s climate combine with this year’s record strength El Nino had some scary results. The worldwide average surface temperature was 1.35C above the 1951 to 1980 average. Yes, that’s warm.

SKEPTICS THINKS SPACE AGENCY SHOULD STICK TO SPACE

Since President Obama upped the budget for NASA, many have complained their interests have been more geared towards problems on the ground instead of working to blast off it. To put it bluntly, the agency can’t really explore other worlds if the one we live on is uninhabitable to begin with. That notion aside, the space agency has made some remarkable strides.  A recent study from them has certainly put many skeptics to rest. It essentially proves that long-term climate change is inevitable if greenhouse gas is not reduced. This further proves that natural climate cycles are not enough to explain why our planet is so hot.
