Microsoft Gunning The iPad Pro: 4 Things You Need to Know Clapway

During their latest Build conference, Microsoft shared with the world their latest masterpiece. Of course, this is alluding to the new Windows Ink feature announced by the company. This will provide you with a brand new experience by putting the power in the tip of your pen, as Microsoft says. So, what does this have to do with the iPad Pro? Well, the iPad Pro has something very similar, the Apple Pencil. However, Windows Ink is set to be much better and here are four key things you need to know about it.

1. WHAT THIS IPAD PRO GUNNING FEATURE IS FROM MICROSOFT

Basically, as the company’s blog page indicates, this new feature is going to allow you to write on your device exactly the same way you would with a piece of paper. Also, you can create sticky notes and draw on a whiteboard to share your thoughts to the world. This is much like the iPad Pro Apple Pencil that allows you to take notes and draw pictures.

2. INTELLIGENTLY TAKE NOTES WITH MICROSOFT

One of the coolest features of this, the company explains, is that there is an app for note taking that can actually recognize certain words. For example, the app could recognize the word tomorrow, and then act accordingly based on that.

3. WINDOWS INK CAN DO MORE

Not only can Windows Ink help you create notes, but it also can be integrated into software like Maps, Office, and Microsoft Edge. So, as the company points out, you can unlock the power of Windows 10 in extraordinary ways. It could even, in turn with a few lines of code, become functional in Adobe Photoshop. This new feature is clearly trying to go above and beyond what the iPad Pro Apple Pencil can do.

4. A DIGITAL RULER

This may seem like a really simple feature, but many artists will find it extremely useful. Microsoft noted how in Windows Ink, there is a built-in digital ruler that will allow you to draw straight lines. Again, this may seem simple, but as the saying goes keep it simple stupid!
