To combat this inconvenience, iCloud, Dropbox and Amazon hoped to offer users a trip to the clouds. As one would think, it’s been a successful move, but Google has had enough. They are making some upgrades of their own.

It may not seem like much, but an improved search will help save a lot of time on Google Photos. There will be a dedicated bar that always stays on top of the screen this will save users from having to click on the action button and hit the search bar one more time. In addition to that, Google Photos is getting a few more upgrades that might take users away from iCloud, Amazon or Dropbox.

OCD ON YOUR PHONE

Organization is a key new feature for the updated Google Photos. Content will now be categorized by types and the program will distribute files under Selfies, Screenshots and whatever else you may have. Additionally, auto-generate movies are now yours to customize. No longer will users be a slave to those boring app tunes. It doesn’t end there, though. Users now have the options to rename as well as delete any folders on their device. Folders can be added, copied and moved to external storage as well. Don’t go running off to iCloud, Amazon, and Dropbox just yet Apple users, all these wonderful updates will come for iOS soon enough.

WAR WAGES ON BETWEEN iCLOUD, DROPBOX, AND AMAZON

Speaking of Apple users, they will be happy to have some more options that iCloud. Sure, it’s user-friendly, however, it can’t beat the free-for-unlimited storage price that Amazon offers. Meanwhile, Dropbox and it’s Carousel app are still relevant, however without having an operating system to link up to, they may see popularity decline. For now, the war between, iCloud, Dropbox, and Amazon will wage on until Elon Musk comes into the picture and does it better than all of them.
