Jesse Ruben: Indie Spirit of Mother Teresa

Jesse Ruben: Indie Spirit of Mother Teresa Clapway

Many musicians claim to inspire through their music alone but can you really change the world with just a song? That’s a debate Jesse Ruben doesn’t have time for. Instead, the singer/songwriter/Mother Teresa is rolling up his sleeves and getting stuff done with “The We Can Project“.

JESSE RUBEN: MOTHER TERESA WITH A GUITAR

On the outside, Jesse Ruben looks like your average Philly-born, Brooklyn-based musician. On the inside, though, he’s a regular Mother Teresa. Since Ruben first crashed the scene with his uplifting song “We Can“, he’s since taken the song personally. Hence, “The We Can Project” was born. Ruben designed the program to help children believe they can do anything they put their minds to. An old-fashioned motto but it still rings true today.

JESSE RUBEN IS MOTHER TERESA THROUGH ILLNESS

Even through sickness, Jesse Ruben carried himself like Mother Teresa. Almost as a sign from God, Ruben got sick right after setting up the “We Can Project”. He got Lyme Disease which put a hold on his career for almost two years. However, Ruben bounced back strong with new music and restored confidence.

JESSE RUBEN CONTINUES TO INSPIRE LIKE MOTHER TERESA

Originally, Ruben wanted to inspire people through music. However now, he’s doing even more than that. Between his community outreach programs, an inspirational way of life and, of course, good music, Ruben is climbing the ranks of stardom. Americans love a good underdog story. Heck, everyone does. If anyone is the embodiment of this, it’s Ruben. Next year, he will release a new EP that will aim to continue this trajectory of inspiration and give hope to people everywhere. He even brought his unique brand of charity overseas with a huge European tour. If you need to add some good vibes to your music collection, look no further.
