Google Hacked Expedia, Kayak and Travelocity

Google Hacked Expedia, Kayak and Travelocity

When looking online to book a trip, sites like Expedia, Kayak or Travelocity are usually the first ones to come to mind. However, now Google is inching their way into the market, taking the best parts of other travel sites and combining them into one convenient location.

GOOGLE MAKES IT EASIER TO TRAVEL THAN EXPEDIA, KAYAK, AND TRAVELOCITY

Expedia, Kayak, and Travelocity have made names for themselves in their respective ways yet, Google is attempting to beat them at their own game. With “Flights”, Google hopes to help with booking flight tickets at the perfect time in order to get the ideal price. Users can see when prices are going to increase for certain flights and routes.

For example, if you’re trying to fly from Boston to San Francisco but haven’t selected a flight yet, you can see a notification menu with multiple tips showing how to find the best price for that route. They include everything from different airports to alternate dates.

GOOGLE HACKING EXPEDIA, KAYAK AND TRAVELOCITY HOTEL DATA

Sites like Expedia, Kayak, and Travelocity all use the same hotel data for the most part. Now, Google wants in on it as well. Now, the company is providing, even more ways to uncover deals in hotel search. Say you want to look up hotel deals for Christmas in New York City. Just tap in the upper left corner to the filter for “deals” for a comprehensive list of deals to choose from. It’ll also notify you when savings are available to loyalty members on a hotel’s website.

ARE EXPEDIA, KAYAK AND TRAVELOCITY DEAD? IS GOOGLE TAKING OVER THE WORLD?

In many ways, the world’s most popular search engine is taking over the world. Or at least the internet. They tend to do things better than most by making an already great idea better. This concept is on full display with “Flights”. It’s not that the alternatives were bad per say. It’s just that Google’s version takes things up a notch. Who knows what their creativity will take over next.
