Feel like God with this Kickstarter Mini Universe

Feel like God with this Kickstarter Mini Universe

Does God exist? Well, that’s an age-old debate and one we might never know the answer to. However, you can still pretend to be like the gods with this new product on Kickstarter. This mini universe fits in the palm of your hand and takes you on a cosmic voyage beyond your wildest dreams.

KICKSTARTER PUTS GOD AND UNIVERSE INSIDE A BALL

Laniakea is what they call the supercluster of galaxies that we belong to. The universe is nearly impossible to wrap your head around. Hence, one Kickstarter campaign decided to make a smaller one to wrap your hand around. This little space ball has 380,000 lasered dots that represent an entire galaxy with billions of stars. Just staring at this sphere will bring up some serious philosophical questions about God, science, and alien life.

HOW DID KICKSTARTER PUT GOD INSIDE A UNIVERSE BALL?

To create this Kickstarter campaign, the creator took a catalog of galaxies and chose some with a radius of 125 Mpc. From there, they converted the data and found a company that could laser this data into a small glass sphere. The result is the Sphere. Weight at just 1.76lb, the Sphere is a tiny universe in a box. The inner structure reflects light to magnify its beauty. Furthermore, the brightness changes the perspective so you can get lost in the intricate details of the Sphere. Hence, just as God appreciated the Earth on the 7th day, you can appreciate the galaxy you hold in your hand.

KICKSTARTER CREATES CONTROVERSY WITH GOD UNIVERSE BALL

The idea behind the Sphere is a rather innocent one. The goal is to show just how incredibly big our galaxies are and to take people on a cosmic voyage through time and space. However, religious zealots might not like this idea. Anything that challenges the belief of their gods is akin to great sin. Science and region never go hand in hand. Perhaps that is because one might disprove the other.
