Mars One is Seeking for Help From SpaceX and NASA

Mars One is Seeking for Help From SpaceX and NASA First Humans on Mars will Have Brain Problems

For those looking to snatch a ride to the Red Planet via the ambitious Mars One program, you might have to wait a second. On Wednesday, they announced their big plan for a Red Planet colony is facing a delay of five years. With the latest space race heating up, perhaps they will seek help from the likes of SpaceX and NASA.

MARS ONE IS BROKE; SPACEX AND NASA TO THE RESCUE?

Is there life in space? While we don’t know the answer to that one yet Mars One hoped to bring their own form of life to the Red Planet soon. However, now, the Dutch company is pushing things back a bit. Initially, they wanted to send their first crews up to the planet in 2026. Now, they have to wait until 2031. According to the company, this delay is to raise more money. The question is, how will they raise this money? Perhaps SpaceX and NASA will come to the rescue.

WHY SPACEX AND NASA WON’T HELP MARS ONE

Surely, Mars One would love to get help from SpaceX and NASA however, it’s a rather unrealistic dream to have. For one, the U.S. space agency is already struggling with funds. They hardly have enough money to keep themselves afloat, never mind an expensive, private space company. Furthermore, with Trump gearing up for the White House, rumors state he isn’t exactly keen on supporting space exploration. In the case of Elon Musk and his private space company, well, anyone else trying to get to Red Planet is standing in his way. He wants to be the first up there and can’t afford to help risk that.

MARS ONE NEEDS MORE THAN SPACEX AND NASA TO SUCCEED

This is not the first time the Dutch space company delayed its project. Besides the financial issues, other scientists doubt the mission for various reasons. For one, we still have major technological advances to make before something like this is possible. Add the financial burden on top of that, and these dreams are all but shattered.
