My Summer Bucket List

Summer is probably the most expected time of the year. All of us already know the warm days are coming and it is probably best to get as much from them as we can. What’s on your summer bucket list? As for myself, I have 3 things I plan on accomplishing while the sun is out.

1. Be Active.

A lot of our summers have been spent inside, watching series or movies – or, at least, most of mine have. And it is really nice to do these things every once in a while but this time I want to do more. In the end, I can watch movies any time! But spending an entire day at the beach, go-karting, biking around the city, going to the zoo; those aren’t things that you do every week. So that’s my number one goal for summer: to get away from my bed and start enjoying the excellent weather!

2. Do What I Love.

And love what I do, as the phrase goes. I guess some of us, including myself, tend to leave our hobbies aside at times because of our responsibilities and priorities. But summer is the perfect time to leave any of the excuses behind. Me, I plan on making and admiring art. From paintings to sculptures; any performance art, too, and reading – reading a lot. Because its been way too long since I’ve done any of those with the patience and dedication they require.

3. Try Something New.

We’ve all probably said this a few times in our lives; I’ve said it more times than I can count. But that is exactly what I want to change: I won’t just say it, I’ll actually do it. Because everyone can agree that there is nothing that compares to the rush and excitement that we get while doing something for the first time. And yet, even though it is an incredible feeling, we spend months and even years without doing it; getting stuck in the routine and never stepping outside our comfort zone. I think it’s time for many of us to spice it up a little.

When you become determined with something, there is nothing that can stop you, or so I believe. This summer is going to be different and I’m making sure of it. I’m going to make these months count and I hope so can you. Enjoy this beautiful time while you are free to do so.
