5 Unique Spider Talents Spider-Man Should Take Note Of

Yesterday, it was announced that Tom Holland had been cast as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming Spider-Man film. Tom Holland is known for his portrayal as Billy Elliot in “Billy Elliot The Musical” and as Lucas Bennett in “The Impossible”. The film will be in theaters on July 28, 2017.

Spider-man is known, by all, as the web-slinger, who can walk up walls, foresee movements with spider-senses, and display superhuman strength and agility. Those are some pretty basic super powers. What if Spider-Man embraced the special gifts of a variety of spiders from around the globe? He would become an even more spectacular superhero and maybe the Spider-Man movies won’t seem so repetitive. Here are five unique spider abilities Spider-Man should take note of:

1. Camouflage

Crab Spiders may not assemble webs but some have the ability to change colors in order to match the flower they are sitting on. They wait within flowers to strategically catch their prey. How cool would it be if Spider-Man was able to camouflage himself to match the surfaces he touched? Pretty awesome, I would say.

2. Spider Decor

We all know that spiders are extremely smart. Likewise, Peter Parker is a very intelligent young man as well. Spiders also have an eye for aesthetics. Some spiders don’t settle for any old spider web, some go above and beyond. Spider decorations, also known as stabilimentum, are intricate and beautiful. When Peter Parker isn’t busy saving the city as Spider-Man, he could use his artistic skills for all of his creative endeavors.

3. Kiss of Death

Okay, the kiss of death is a little dramatic but it caught your attention. Right? Anyway, the Goliath bird eating spider irritates skin on contact. This South American spider’s legs also make a hissing sound. This might not be a superpower Spider-Man would want but I still think it’s strikingly scary.

4. The Legs

Have you ever asked yourself why Spider-Man never grew more legs or arms? Multiple limbs have its pros and cons. They would be great for fighting crime and maybe even foreplay, but I doubt Spider-Man would feel comfortable walking outside without his mask on…

5. Walk On Water

If you look near a puddle or lakes, you might find a fishing spider. They have the ability to swim and walk on water. Walking on water is the shit. Period. Spider-Man would be a lucky guy if he could do that.

Spiders are interesting creatures. I would never keep one as a pet, but I can admire their natural abilities. Spider-Man should admire them as well. He should take note and learn some new skills.
