Check Out These Leaked Photos of the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+

A Reddit user with the name “joelrtaveras” posted never-before-seen photos and a rundown of the features of the unreleased Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ phones after a company representative came to a retail location that the user worked at. Though leaks in recent months have provided some information about the phone, the unprecedented photos have taken the online tech community by storm.

What do these Leaked Photos of the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ Reveal?

In his glowing review of the phones, the Redditor said that the Galaxy Note 5 “felt better in [his] hand” and that its tapered back gave the feeling that it was smaller that it actually is. He also pointed out that the Note 5 is thicker than the iPhone 6, its S-Pen is withdrawn with a push-to-pop mechanism and he complimented the Super AMOLED displays on both of the phones.

He also confirmed the absence of external SD slots on both phones, the base model’s storage capability (32 gigabytes) and said that he ultimately favored the Galaxy Note 5 despite the “drool worthy” display of the S6 Edge +, the screen of which is curved. However, “joelrtaveras” noted that the software was not final and changes to the phones could be made before their still-unannounced release dates.

In a separate incident, Samsung France leaked photos and pre-registration information for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ in a post that its website has since deleted. As Jay McGregor noted at Forbes, whether the leak was accidental or an intentional way of hyping the product is not known.

The leaked picture reveals that customers can pre-order the product between August 21 and September 3 and receive a Level One Bluetooth headset and three months of unlimited music from Google. It’s unclear if the offer is intended for global customers or only French ones.

Though there has been some wild speculation about the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ because of these and other leaks, all will be revealed (possibly along with an enigmatic unnamed tablet) Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2015 launch event on August 13. You can watch a free live stream of the event on Samsung’s website.
