The new Motorola Droid Turbo 2 hits the market at $624 and makes for an excellent, durable smartphone to battle against the iPhone itself. It features Motorola’s new ShatterShield display, which takes away the impending fear of clumsy smartphone users with the occasional case of butter fingers and it’s well worth its price.
The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 hardware has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor at 2GHz and 3GB of LPDDR4 memory. Storage for the phone starts at 32GB, but users looking for additional space can opt for the Motorola Driod Turbo 2 at 64GB capacity. This storage can be further extended through the phone’s microSD card slot, and at most the phone can handle 2TB of space. The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 also supports Bluetooth 4.1 LTE and the latest 802.11a/b/g/n/ac.
The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 features a 21 mega pixel rear camera and a 5 mega pixel front camera with a wide-angle lens for optimal selfie taking.
In terms of resolution, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 sports a 5.4 inch screen with 2560×1440 res at 540ppi. Its greatest and most acclaimed feature, however, is probably ShatterShield, which guarantees that the screen will not be shattered or damaged by water or impact. Motorola demonstrated the effectiveness of this feature by dropping a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 on a cement block during its launch and surely enough, the phone came out victorious.
