Authorities in California and Washington are calling for a recall of Volkswagen diesel cars. Since their initial scandal regarding gas emissions, Volkswagen has been facing a lot of trouble regarding their diesel cars, and the company may even have to recall a number of their cars.

VW Set to Meet With California Authorities and US Environmental Protection Agency

More than 482,000 VW cars were sold in the United States with diesel motors. After the gas emission scandal broke out, confirming that Volkswagen cars were cheating emissions tests. Volkswagen hasn’t yet announced how exactly it will handle this scandal in terms of recalls. The state of California gave Volkswagen until November 20 to announce how they will handle the scandal.

The car maker has taken a very passive reaction to the scandal. It was recently revealed that the gas emissions test scandal came as the result of a mistake made in the manufacturing process that was kept under wraps by Volkswagen engineers.
