GoPro Hero4 is now as cheap as Sony HDR-AZ1

GoPro Hero 4

The GroPro Hero4 mini camera just got its price split in half. The company announced that they are going to be dropping their price of this camera from $399 to $199. This is more than a tiny discount, this is a Black Friday type deal outside of Black Friday! The drop in price now makes it close to the price of the Sony HDR-AZ1, which is a very similar device.

WHAT IS THE GOPRO HERO4?

This device is a tiny camera that allows users to shoot and record videos. The GoPro Hero4 is about the size of a video game memory card. It also only weighs 2.6 ounces so this camera is very small to say the least. This small camera does not lack in resolution, though. It shoots with a resolution of 1080p which is a high definition display. This Hero4 camera is also waterproof of up to 11 yards deep. This camera can be mounted on poles, bikes, helmets, and various other things. PCMag also gave this camera rave reviews and stated that they love it for its simple design and great video quality.

SONY HDR-AZ1 AND GOPRO HERO4 NOW HAVE SIMILAR PRICES

Before this price cut from GoPro, the Sony HDR-AZ1 was way cheaper than the Hero4 and was probably the better choice. However, now that they cut $200 from their price, it is close to the same cost as Sony’s camera. Sony’s camera is very similar, as it is a small camera that produces excellent video quality. Either one of these cameras will be good for purchase now that GoPro decided to reduce the price of their Hero4 camera.

WITH THE GOPRO HERO4 PRICE CUT, IS THERE BLACK FRIDAY SYNDROME?

As mentioned earlier, this announcement sounds like a Black Friday deal. However, the company announced they are cutting the price of their GoPro Hero4 for their own purposes. Well, this was certainly the right move as $200 is a huge difference to pay. Even though Black Friday is done, companies still seem to be unleashing amazing deals.
