The trailer for the sequel of a game that was created around 20 years ago recently was revealed. Shaq-Fu was a game that was created for the SNES and Sega Genesis back in the day. It was a very simple 2-D fighting game that had the user using Shaquille O’Neal to fight his way through many enemies. O’Neal revealed last year that this game would get a sequel, and now the world gets to see what it looks like.

THE NEW SHAQ-FU TRAILER

To be honest, there was not much that was shown in this trailer. The main thing that was seen was Shaq going around and beating up every enemy he faced. The company is describing this game as a modern day take of the classic beat ’em up genre video game. Beat ’em ups were extremely popular during the 16-bit era of video games, but since have practically died. Occasionally they will be seen, but the world has moved on from beat ’em ups. The lead designer of this game did reveal that the game looks and feels fantastic. The trailer showed that the game does indeed look good visually, but should people be excited?

SHAQ-FU: A LEGEND REBORN LOOKS AVERAGE

The first Shaq-Fu was received with mixed reviews when it came out several years ago. It was just a simple game that did not offer anything new to the table. That is certainly what this game looks like as well. Although the trailer did not show much gameplay, the gameplay that was showed looked decent enough. However, decent enough will most likely not be what many people are looking for.

NO RELEASE DATE OF SHAQ-FU YET

There has been no word on when this game will be released, but the company did state it will be released for multiple platforms. They say the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U will all see this game come to their consoles.
