The launch of Microsoft FindTime has been announced. The new Outlook add in will provide users with a better way to manage their schedule. It will not only schedule an appointment, but it will send invites to appropriate parties once it is confirmed.
FindTime Uses Microsoft’s Azure Cloud to Encrypt FindTime Information
The add-in is completely safe, easing communication between people and keeping it entirely encrypted. The tweak is smarter than all other calendar applications, suggesting the best times and days for meetings within an office or organization. Users can put down a tentative time or date, which is forwarded to everyone who needs to be in attendance. Other attendees can then suggest better times, and after voting, the meeting can be finalized. FindTime doesn’t need an okay, as it simply sends out an official invite for the meeting.
Microsoft FindTime Was Engineered by Microsoft Garage
The new calendar widget does not only handle Microsoft accounts. It can mail invites to Gmail, Yahoo or any domain. Outlook users have an added advantage, as Microsoft FindTime has the ability to access users’ Outlook data for availability. The invites can be sent across different organizations so long as they have Office 365.
Brought to life by Microsoft Garage, FindTime is not entirely practical for non-Office users. It’s currently available for Outlook 2016, Outlook 2003 and Outlook web. It works best for Office 365. Other apps like Timebridge, Doodle and NeedToMeet accomplish similar tasks. FindTime is just the only one connected to Outlook. This makes it much easier to integrate corporations with hundreds of staff into one platform.
Microsoft is All Business
As is customary of Microsoft, it is optimizing communication between and within businesses. It has integrated Skype for Business in the latest E5 bundle for Office users. This combined with Microsoft FindTime is an attractive offer for enterprises that haven’t yet taken full advantage of what Office 365 brings to the table.
