WalMart App Taking a Page From Starbucks

WalMart App

It appears like WalMart is about ready to embrace the fact that many people do not even use their wallets anymore to purchase products. The senior vice president of WalMart, Daniel Eckert, was the one who broke the news that they are going to unleash their WalMart app that will allow customers to pay with their smartphones.

WALMART APP ALLOWS CUSTOMERS TO PAY WITH SMARTPHONES

Eckert explained to his customers just how this app would work. He states that to use it they will first have to download it on their phone. They will also have to input some payment information. However, he did say that for customers who already have a WalMart account online, the payment information will be automatically transferred to the downloaded app. Once this is done, he states that customers will have to use the camera on their phone to scan a code displayed on the credit card reader screen. After doing all of these steps, you will never have to bring any credit cards or cash into WalMart again.

WALMART APP MUCH LIKE OTHER COMPANIES INCLUDING STARBUCKS

WalMart is certainly not the first company to make an app like this. Various companies have done so including Starbucks. Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay has been a hit around the world and has made it more convenient for their customers to purchase products. Now, WalMart is going to take a page out of their book and do the same. Do not be surprised to see more and more companies adopt this type of app in the future.

WALMART APP JUST ANOTHER COMPANY TO ADOPT TO TECHNOLOGY

Technology is really taking over the world. This is especially true when it comes to smartphones. Due to the insane amount of people who use smartphones and apps with regulatory led WalMart to this decision. Plus, they already have their mobile app which allows users to receive discounts. This new app should fit with that perfectly.
