When it comes down to it, everyone needs to take a trip down memory lane every once in a while. For those of us who grew up in the 1990’s, we remember how cool it was to be playing video games on our Microsoft PC’s. Well, the Internet Archive has just made all of us jump for joy when they announced that more than 1,000 classic Windows 3.1 games were going to be able to be played from our browsers, and here is why.
FIRST REASON WE LOVE THE THOUGHT OF PLAYING MICROSOFT WINDOWS 3.1 GAMES
All you have to do to run this emulator is to choose a program from the list available, and then your browser will load the emulator. After you have done this you will be playing the game you selected in Windows 3.1, and that is an epic nostalgia trip. This is indeed the first reason, and nostalgia is good for everyone. Getting the chance to see what video games were like back in the 1990’s will also be a very cool experience. I mean come on, who doesn’t like taking a trip down memory lane?
SECOND REASON WE LOVE THE THOUGHT OF PLAYING MICROSOFT WINDOWS 3.1 GAMES
Although video games are more in depth nowadays, it doesn’t mean that old school video games are bad. The second reason why this is amazing is because we can play classics like Roulette and Wheel of Fortune. Sure, there are updated versions of these games but there is nothing like playing the classics. Not only this but the Internet Archive also has a huge selection of software to choose from like the Windows 95 Demo, Brickbuster, GemStorm, and SkiFree. If you don’t remember these games then please go play them now! This is especially true for SkiFree, as I can remember playing that game for hours on my Microsoft PC when I was a kid.
