Top 3 Problems Humans Will End up Facing on Mars Clapway

It is well known that NASA would eventually like to send astronauts to Mars. As a matter of fact, they currently have their astronaut program that you can sign up for, and it might eventually lead to a trip to the famous red planet. However, if this does happen then we need to realize that humans face many problems on Mars. To make matters worse, these problems are all related to death.

Top 3 Problems Humans Will End up Facing on Mars Clapway

FIRST PROBLEM FOR HUMANS: RADIATION

As a scientist at the SETI Institute, Pascal Lee, tells it, there is severe radiation on Mars. Several eons ago, the atmosphere of the planet was blown away and it has little protection against any radiation. It is so severe that, according to a former NASA physician, humans would have to live at least nine feet underground to survive the radiation.

SECOND PROBLEM FOR HUMANS: THE TOXICITY OF THE ATMOSPHERE

The little atmosphere that exists on Mars is completely toxic to people. This is due to its extremely high carbon dioxide content, but this is not an unsolvable problem. Plants could suck in that carbon dioxide and convert it into oxygen, but the threat still exists for humans.

THIRD PROBLEM FOR HUMANS: THE DUST

Although the Mars One website has revealed that it is unknown how the dust from Mars would affect humans, NASA thinks it could be a threat. They mention how it is not even the dust storms, but just the dust in general. The dust on the red planet is much finer than anything we would see on Earth, and it could be devastating as NASA tells it. Going to Mars would truly be a once in a lifetime experience that everyone would remember forever. However, the risks of going there might just outweigh the rewards, but only you can decide that.
