Most companies implement excellent security, but the problem is hackers exist and they aren’t stupid. One company, in particular, Microsoft, is aware of this and they announced a brand new threat detection product.
THE NEW THREAT DETECTION PRODUCT FROM MICROSOFT
The official product name is the Windows Defender Advanced Threat Detection product. This is specifically focused on helping IT departments identify threats after the DMZ has been penetrated. The reality is sometimes the line gets broken, and then hackers have a hay day. This will also allow the security team to decide who monitors each specific Windows 10 device. This is based on the company’s Security Graph, and once a threat is detected the system will inform the IT’s. After this, they can figure out the best way to solve the issue.
THIS TOOL ONLY WORKS WITH WINDOWS 10
This system is designed for Windows 10, and Windows 10 only. This means that Windows 8, Windows 7, iOS, or any other operating system can’t use this tool. This immediately makes the Windows 10 operating system a little more advanced when it comes to security.
MICROSOFT SPEAKS UP ABOUT SECURITY ISSUES
The executive VP of Microsoft, Terry Myerson, recently spoke about cyber attacks in a blog post. In the post, Myerson mentions how the world continues to see more and more cyber attacks. To break into corporate networks, hackers are using social engineering and even the best defense is not working, Myerson continues to say. Again, it needs to be repeated that security is something that all computer systems need to have. Not only do they need to have it, but they need it to be excellent. Hackers are not going to stop, and Microsoft knows it.
