Mortal Kombat X News: 5 Things You Need to Know Clapway

Darn you Ed Boon, you just can’t stay off of Twitter can you? For those of you who are huge Mortal Kombat X fans, you know that Ed Boon can be a major tease. His latest tweet may have given the world news on future DLC and it has the Mortal Kombat X world buzzing. So, here are five things to keep in mind.

1. THE TWEET SAID: SUB-ZERO AND RAIDEN

This news, hopefully, means that more Mortal Kombat X DLC is on the way. Ed Boon sent out a tweet on Twitter and it simply said “Sub-Zero and Raiden”. For all fans of the franchise, this is news because of the characters’ connections to Frost and Fujin, respectively.

2. THE CONNECTION BETWEEN FUJIN AND RAIDEN IN MORTAL KOMBAT X

In the lore of Mortal Kombat, Fujin is practically the little brother of Raiden. As a result of Raiden being the deity of lightning and Fujin having control of the wind, they share a story thread in Mortal Kombat X.

3. THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SUB-ZERO AND FROST

Just like the previous two characters have a connection, Frost and Sub-Zero do as well. In the Mortal Kombat lore, Frost is the apprentice of Sub-Zero. Then, in the game she, against her master’s orders, tries to kill Scorpion.

4. ED BOON HAS HINTED AT NEWS LIKE THIS BEFORE

For all intents and purposes, Ed Boon is a troll. This is not the first time he has used Twitter to rile up his fans. Last month, a fan pled with him to continue to make DLC for Mortal Kombat X. Boon followed by typing “MKXXL” and also added a winking emoticon.

5. THIS TWEET MAY NOT BE NEWS AT ALL

It’s possible that this tweet from Ed Boon was not news at all, and it’s possible it had nothing to do with Frost and Fujin. It could just be his way of telling people that hidden fatalities for Sub-Zero and Raiden have yet to be discovered. The issue is, only Ed Boon knows what he meant with his tweet.
