Tesla Real Time Supercharger: 4 Things You Didn’t Know

Tesla Real Time Supercharger: 4 Things You Didn’t Know Clapway

Finally, it appears as if Tesla owners are going to get access to real-time data on the availability of a Supercharger. Before you get too excited, though, just know it has been stated by the CEO without an actual release date. There are also a few more things to keep in mind after this unprecedented news, as well.

TESLAFANBOY’S TWEET ABOUT THE SUPERCHARGER

This breaking news happened because one Twitter user, named TeslaFanBoy, asked a question regarding the Tesla charging stations. TeslaFanBoy tweeted that a busy/free status navigation system for a Supercharger would be nice. He then continued by saying it would be nice because you could skip over a busy Supercharger for an available one for a faster charge.

THE CEO OF TESLA MADE IT OFFICIAL

Not only did Elon Musk respond to this Twitter user, but he gave the world the news they had been waiting for forever. His reply simply said that it would be coming soon for all Tesla cars and that it would be an OTA software update. I can already hear the millions of Tesla fans breathing a sigh of relief!

TESLA ALREADY HAD REAL-TIME DATA

The most frustrating part about how long it took the company to make this feature is they already had access to real-time data. In the design studio in Hawthrone, the company had real-time data on their Supercharger Dashboard. Why it took them so long to implement this feature is beyond explanation.

MORE SUPERCHARGER STATIONS ARE CONSTANTLY BEING MADE

The entire reason people want this real-time information in the first place is to not waste their time with an occupied Supercharger station. Well, another good thing to keep in mind is, per the official website of Tesla Motors, their Supercharger team is always at work building new sites. Due to the nature of the construction, though, their website mentions how it’s difficult to announce specific dates.
