Fallout 4 is Officially Better on Xbox One; PS4 Fans Choose Microsoft Clapway

Fallout 4 has generated a great deal of praise, but among the praise, was some mild frustration. Fans have anxiously awaited a new update with mod support, however, that was nowhere to be seen, until now. Reports are filing in that mod support will be announced on Xbox One. While Microsoft fans celebrate the news, PS4 gamers are left in the dark.

FALLOUT GIVES XBOX MOD SUPPORT

Fallout 4’s new Update 1.2 brings a wealth of new features to the game, however, fans wanted mod support, which was not included in the update. Now, Fallout has blessed Microsoft with mod support on Xbox One and Windows PC. The announcement was made on the official Bethesda Twitter page where the studio said the update will go live on Xbox One after May 19th. For now, PS4 players will be left out.

MICROSOFT GET REWARDED

In addition to the Xbox One support, Fallout will be rewarding Microsoft fans even more by adding the mod for Windows PC. Players can now experiment with mods that are available via the official shop on Bethesda.net. According to Bethesda, Microsoft PC players have already downloaded more than 1 million mods via the online store and numbers continue to grow increasingly. The Fallout 4 mod is popular due to its creative incorporation. In the past, mods were only supported on Microsoft PC through unofficial means, but fans will now have Bethesda’s full support. It’s good news for gamers, but it might not be good enough to get PS4 users to make the switch.

PS4 UPDATE TROUBLES

Perhaps it’s a good thing that PS4 got left out of Bethesda’s update. Lately, it seems that updates for Sony haven’t exactly been going as planned. The PS4 update 3.50 last month was riddled with bugs and errors, causing problems for thousands of owners. Reports of the console randomly entering rest mode, microphones not working and general operation issues are rampant. If problems like these continue to plague Sony, a great migration to Xbox may soon occur.
