Say what you will about boring businessmen, but they get stuff was done. Microsoft’s newest initiative will fund startups that develop new ways to connect the world in an economical fashion. The software giant believes global disconnect is a big issue and we need to take a new approach in order to fix it. Some have criticized the company for waiting so long to get on board since Google and Facebook have long been at the task, but one could say it’s better late than never.
