Sony has seen a sudden burst in PS4 sales. The boom could easily be attributed to the wildly popular ‘Uncharted 4’ however, there could be another underlying cause. It turns out that Pornhub and Youporn users have a larger effect on the gaming industry than previously thought.
40 MILLION PS4 SALES AS UNCHARTED 4 IGNITES
According to Sony, the company has sold more than 40 million PS4 consoles. Meanwhile, ‘Uncharted 4’ has become the quickest-selling game for the console to date. Sales have surpassed all previous PlayStation models including the best selling PS2. Sony even predicts an additional 20 million units to be sold by the end of the year. Even though rival Microsoft hasn’t released any sales figures since 2014 regarding their XBox One, predictions put the PS4 far ahead. It would be foolish to ignore the relationship between this success and the release of ‘Uncharted 4’ but give some credit to the lovers of porn.

Past studies have shown the views on sites like Pornhub and Youporn are greatly reduced when a major video game gets released. The reasoning is quite simple.
