Xbox Live users are not very happy at the moment. As a matter of fact, they are straight up fed up with this. Xbox Live has been experiencing online connectivity issues. Many on social media have mentioned their complaints about it. However, this is not a coincidence. About a week ago, there was a threat by a group of hackers known as The Phantom Squad.
XBOX LIVE IS EXPERIENCING ONLINE ISSUES
The users who have expressed their displeasure on social media have mentioned what is happening. The people are pointing out how they can not connect to their favorite multiplayer games. Not only this, but they are also being forced to connect to third-party servers for some single player games. Also, video streaming software can not be accessed like Hulu and Netflix. Now, Xbox Live has been known to go down at times, but this is coming directly after the threat of The Phantom Squad. There is no way this is a coincidence.
THIS MUST BE THE WORK OF THE PHANTOM SQUAD
As mentioned earlier, about a week ago The Phantom Squad issued a global threat on Xbox Live and PSN. They tweeted to the world that they were going to shut down both of these services on Christmas day, and then the rest of the week. I know it is not Christmas yet, but they are hackers so why would we expect them to keep their word? They probably decided to strike early and they have succeeded. It is not official that it is them, but it is too convenient for it not to be.
XBOX LIVE NOT ALONE WITH ISSUES
Don’t worry Xbox Live users, gamers who are using the PSN are experiencing the same issues. The PlayStation Network has gone down several times as well. The Phantom Squad did not exclude The PlayStation Network when they tweeted their cyber attack. This must be the work of them as well.
THE PHANTOM SQUAD IS NOT PLAYING AROUND
So, Sony and Microsoft, do you believe that The Phantom Squad is legit? I for sure believe them to be legit and to be behind this ordeal. Unfortunately, it is not difficult to crash the PSN and Xbox Live networks. This means that basically anybody can do it. So, if they find out that The Phantom Squad was indeed behind this and stop them, somebody else could turn around and do the same thing.
