OK, so maybe this is a low blow, but did anyone notice that now arrested Martin Shkreli looks very similar to Pinocchio! One of the most hated men in the world is finally going to be put behind bars. However, I want to have some fun at his expense before that happens! Let’s break down the three main differences between him and his identical twin Pinocchio!
MARTIN SHKRELI FINALLY ARRESTED
For anybody who has no idea who this man is, he is most famous for raising the price of a life-saving AIDS pill. He raised it 5,000 percent as much as the original price. Not only that but now arrested Martin Shkreli also bought the one-of-a-kind album from hip hop artist Wu-Tang. He bought it, but he stated that he never even listened to it. He is the only one that legally has the right to listen to it. However, these incidents have now led to his demise. As of right now, he was arrested and is facing up to 20 years in prison.
THE ONE SIMILARITY BETWEEN ARRESTED MARTIN SHKRELI AND PINOCCHIO
Other than their visual similarity, the main similarity between these two characters, and yes I just called Shkreli a character, is they both always are involved with trouble. However, the similarities end there as the way they get into trouble could not be more different. Let’s now take a look at the fun stuff!
FIRST MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARRESTED MARTIN SHKRELI AND PINOCCHIO
The first main difference between these two is the fact that Pinocchio had guidance in his quest to become a boy. Following his journey to become a real life boy is his official conscience. His conscience’s name is Jiminy Cricket and he notifies Pinocchio of right and wrong. Arrested Martin Shkreli, on the other hand, does not have somebody telling him what is right and wrong everywhere he goes.
SECOND MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARRESTED MARTIN SHKRELI AND PINOCCHIO
The second big difference between these two is the way they get in trouble. Pinocchio is constantly getting tricked into believing that something is right when it is not. One instance was with Honest John. He was tricked to help him when Honest John said that the only way to live is by being rich and famous. However, Shkreli did what he did, as he states, to raise the profits of his shareholders. Shkreli knew what he was doing was wrong and he did it anyway, but Pinocchio was constantly tricked.
LAST MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ARRESTED MARTIN SHKRELI AND PINOCCHIO
The last major difference between these two is the way their stories end. Pinocchio went on to prove himself worthy of becoming a real life boy. He went on to live his life in peace as a real boy. However, arrested Martin Shkreli does not have such a happy ending. The next several years of his life will see him starring at metal bars. Maybe when he can get his head straight, he can end up having a peaceful life when he eventually gets out of prison.

Let me say this, nobody is going to feel sorry for Shkreli. As mentioned earlier, he is one of the most hated men on the internet. This will put a smile on the faces of many people. Martin Shkreli only has himself to blame, as he could of very easily not done the things that he did. This is especially true for jacking the price of the AIDS pill. The world does not have to worry about Shkreli for quite a while.
