3 Reasons Why NASA is Ready To Put Every Human On Mars Clapway

Although NASA has announced that it will be at least a decade until humans can walk on Mars, the wait to go there may be sooner than you think. This sounds like a contradiction, but when I say “go” there, it doesn’t mean actually going there. Instead, NASA is deciding to let us as humans go there virtually, and here are a few reasons why they are ready to.

3 Reasons Why NASA is Ready To Put Every Human On Mars

FIRST REASON: THE AMAZING OPPORTUNITY

The most obvious reason that NASA is doing this is so that people can get the opportunity to explore Mars. Even though you won’t actually get to “go” there, you will be able to experience the wonder of the red planet. Also, you will be able to do this in the comfort of your home. That my friends is more than any of us could ask for!

SECOND REASON: THE HELP FROM EPIC GAMES

Now, let’s move on to what NASA is actually planning on doing. They are teaming up with Fusion Media to create a video game named “The Mars 2030 Experience”, and it will be in virtual reality. However, the truly great part is the help they are getting from Epic Games and their Unreal Engine 4. Using this engine, NASA is going to be able to have this game played on the Google Cardboard and Oculus Rift. Why is this important? Well, due to the fact that virtual reality is becoming the trend, this will allow the Mars experience to get a ton of attention.

THIRD REASON: THE STORIES IT WILL CREATE

The virtual reality producer at Fusion, Julian Reyes, really summed up this last reason. Reyes noted how they see this new Mars experience being a great storyteller. This game will allow people to tell stories in a way that they have never experienced before. It may not be as good as actually going to the red planet, but it sure will do for now!
