Gmail Secrets: Speed Beyond Abilities

Gmail Secrets: Speed Beyond Abilities Clapway

The already lighting fast Gmail wants to take things into hyperdrive. Being the perfectionists that they are, Google is never happy with anything. No, they must always push the boundaries of innovation in order to release a better product time and time again. Consumers are hardly complaining.

GMAIL’S GETTING SMARTER

One may not think about it, but when writing your average email, the time doing various functions really adds up. Gmail can’t control how long it takes you to write, but what it can control is reply time. Previously, email replies were usually short, useless blurbs of confirmation. They were certainly necessary to the art of communication, but those seconds spent writing “Thanks, Gunther. Got the message” eat into your daily work schedule. Google has realized that. Now, they have invented Smart Reply

SMART REPLY SAVES YOU TIME

On Tuesday, Google has released Smart Reply for those running Inbox by Gmail. Essentially, Google will respond to those annoying letters for your while you get back to watching cat videos, I mean work hard on that spreadsheet. If you don’t think that you can trust Gmail to deliver a worthy reply, don’t worry. Users will have some control over what replies are used. Three, prewritten replies are available that can be edited to sound a little more lifelike. The feature has already seen great success with mobile users. According to Google, about 10% of mobile replies are sent with Smart Reply.

GOOGLE MAY HELP YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH SMART REPLY

The email-drafting program is pretty advanced at this stage. Smart Reply uses machine learning to observe you write your emails. Over time, it will get better at writing like you do until no one can tell the difference. It wasn’t always like this, though. Apparently, the Gmail robot used to have a certain obsession with the reply “I love you”. This created an array of awkward conversations or maybe even was the beginning of many fruitful relationships. Google has ironed out the kinks now for a much more intelligent AI system. For now, the art of crafting a perfect email is in the hands of man, but don’t expect that last too much longer.
