Blue Origin is Ahead of SpaceX Again; Will Elon Musk Respond? Clapway

The call and response competition between Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk have seen it’s latest development. Blue Origin, Bezos private space travel company has been quietly perfecting its rocket. Saturday saw a successful launch and land of its New Shepard rocket. The move is now on SpaceX to see if they’ll keep up.

BLUE ORIGIN’S NEW SHEPARD LAUNCH SUCCESS

Amidst the desolate, mountainous beauty of Van Horn, Texas, Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket successfully launched and landed vertically. Many are calling it a flawless operation that will only add to the companies recent success. This marks the third successful landing since November 2015 for Bezo’s company. Companies like SpaceX are using similar rockets to deliver satellites into space and supplies to the ISS. With both companies looking to get into space tourism someday, the competition to create the perfect rocket is becoming fierce.

ELON MUSK’S SPACEX GET NEXT MOVE

SpaceX is hardly anything to scoff at. Just a few months before Blue Origin’s New Shepard success, Elon Musk’s company landed the bottom section of the Falcon 9 rocket in Cape Canaveral, Florida. This came after a couple of botched attempts at a barge landing in the Atlantic ocean. That being said, SpaceX has seen its share of success. Their rockets currently travel further and faster than anything Blue Origin can produce. Their work with NASA has also helped them get some more publicity than their rival. Bezos, on the other hand, has used the lack of attention his advantage.

STEP BY STEP

While Elon Musk’s SpaceX has been hogging the public eye, Blue Origin has been working away quietly. The company has kept many of their plans a secret. To represent this, they have they saying step by step, ferociously. They certainly have followed that, showcasing their discipline and practice. It doesn’t seem that Jeff Bezos is concerned about the fame Elon Musk is attracting. Instead, he is keeping his focus on the stars. Bezos wants to get to point where they are flying more than 100 times a year. If this is going to be a possibility, near perfection must be acquired. In light of this recent success, it’s now on Elon Musk to back up his public reputation with increased success.
