DIY Travel-Themed Halloween Costumes

Halloween is upon us, and we are ever so excited. If you so happen to still not have a costume – like some of us at Clapway – don’t worry: We’ve come up with a list of DIY travel-related Halloween costumes to get you through the holiday. You’re welcome.

Honeymooners

Straight up, that couple oozes cool. And yeah, we’re starting off the list with a couples costume. Deal with it. Throw on your flashiest Hawaiian shirt, shades, board shorts, and most colorful lei, and you’ve got yourself a honeymoon costume. If you’re brave enough, sport some crocs too. Ideally, you also have a partner or friend to join you and play your spouse, but if you don’t, the costume can technically still work: Honeymoon gone wrong. Just play the part of a sour honeymooner, which should be relatively easy once you grab the nearest bottle of cheap whiskey or vodka. Or both.

Grab the required – and two others – and transform into this trio of loveliness in India.

Venice Gondolier

All you need for this getup is a striped shirt, black bottoms, and some red accents. And if for some odd reason you own a straw hat (we’re judging you), chuck that onto your head as well. Ta-da! You are now a gondolero, navigating through the enchanting canals of Venice.

I HEART NYC Tourist

We do not heart these tourists. Either way, super-easy costume: staple NYC shirt, camera, and baseball cap. Oh, and a map.

Self-explanatory.

Zombie Runner

Okay, so this isn’t travel-themed, but zombies and running are two of our favorite things, so you know we had to smash them together. It’s a perfect marriage. Though some zombies don’t run, The Walking Dead zombies do, so hey, why can’t you? Of course, this is assuming you have some old Halloween supplies lying around. Bonus: You’ll be comfy all night long in your running gear. Also, it’s just plain fun to play the part of a blood-thirsty zombie. Like, who wouldn’t want to be this guy?
