Call of Duty Mini-Fridge Bundle Sells Out

Black Ops 3 Collector’s Edition includes fridge, Sells Out Quickly

Call of Duty has managed to become one of the most popular video game franchises in history, staying on the cutting edge of graphics and finding a way to resonate with many hardcore and casual gamers alike. It’s accumulated not just a large fan base, but one that has stuck with it and repeatedly proven it will pay a lot of money for anything even tangentially related to the game. It only makes sense that Activision would want to go big for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release. A new, premium, collector’s edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has already sold out at many of the most prominent retailers before the game’s release, and even before the release of the beta. What makes this premium item such a collector’s edition? It comes with, among other things, a Call of Duty mini-fridge.

What Else Does the Juggernog Edition Contain?

Yes, this collector’s edition is referred to as the Juggernog edition. Unsurprisingly, Juggernog refers to the Call of Duty mini-fridge you can use to store the Mountain Dew that you definitely drink when playing Call of Duty. But the premium Juggernog edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 contains other goodies for CoD enthusiasts. It also has a DLC pass for Black Ops 3, with several expansion packs allowing you to personalize weapons and cyborgs, among other things. There’s also a zombie map, art cards, and a digital soundtrack. But, let’s face it, that’s not what people are paying $200 for. It’s that expensive because it comes with a Call of Duty mini-fridge. Named the Juggernog and designed to look like the game’s iconic Juggernog Perk-a-Cola Machine, the Call of Duty mini-fridge is a fully functional refrigerator. It is capable of holding up to 12 12oz cans, and even comes with coasters for those who don’t want Mountain Dew scuffing up the good table.

Will I Be Able To Get The Mini-Fridge?

At the moment, it’s unclear if Activision will be making more Juggernog editions so that more people can get their Call of Duty mini-fridge. The major retailers sold their shipments, and most have not said if they plan on getting more. The only one to make a statement is GameStop, who have said they have no intentions to sell more Juggernog editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in the future. You can likely blame both dorm-bound college freshmen and diehard COD fans for the quick selling out of this special bundle. There is a GameStop exclusive collector’s edition of the game that Call of Duty enthusiasts can preorder, though. Call of Duty and fridge enthusiasts, for now at least, are left to wait.
