The word ‘smart’ is now commonly attached to new devices to indicate advanced features like wifi support or bluetooth connection, but this kind of smart and cheap don’t usually come in the same sentence. A new campaign out of Shenzhen, China, threatens to bring smart and cheap devices to schools, homes and offices to make scanning fast, easy and efficient.

The Czur Scanner Will Change the Way People Scan

The gadget, smaller and lighter than average scanners, is a smart technology that connects to WiFi and is able to scan books and all manner of documents. It has a 32-bit MIPS CPU implemented and it’s 20 times faster than a regular scanner.

The scanner is made of affordable material, so the Czur wouldn’t only be accessible to a minority, but to all. Documents such as vouchers, files, contracts and even pictures of solid objects are easily taken by the scanner.

Some of the problems that plague scanners are tilted edges, stains and marks. The Czur Scanner has an automatic flattening curve function, as well smart edge cutting, background purification done as the documents scan. It even erases stains and fingerprints.

The Czur Scanner’s Cloud Keeps Everything Safe and Accessible

This new device comes with a Cloud function, where all of your scanned documents are stored for safekeeping. They can be accessed from any WiFi enabled devices. What’s more, the Czur Scanner can scan documents and make them editable in Word format, so that students and professionals using both Apple and Windows devices can easily edit.

The camera on the Czur Scanner’s camera is equipped with 16 million HD CMOS and 4608×3456 resolution, making for clear and crisp images that can capture solid objects as easily as a DSLR camera can.

The Czur Scanner Can Double Up As A Projector

This new invention is able to transform into an HDMI enabled projector, casting 1080p footage on any surface. This added function will be particularly useful in schools and offices, where scanned content can be immediately projected and discussed.

All in all this project looks to make books even more accessible. Entire libraries can be stored quickly and efficiently, giving people an easier way to store information that could be lost to hazardous conditions. Everything is stored digitally and easily accessed. This smart technology is sure smart, and it promises to come at low cost.

If the campaign reaches $1.5M in funding, the team at Czur Scanner promises to send 50 scanners to schools in the US and China, which is only one more reason to support their cause to make education and scanning more accessible and faster.
