A set of musical robots out of Berlin, Germany, is currently building their robot lead vocalist and about to go into production for their first album. The band, called Compressorhead, is looking to the crowds of the world to help them make their MIDI dreams come true.
Currently, the robot band, is composed of Fingers, a guitarist with 78 fingers at the neck of the guitar and six at the strings, Stickboy, a drummer with 4 arms, 2 legs and no brains, and a bassist with 4 fingers at the bass’s neck and 5 at the strings. They’re programmed to play with millimeter precision, and they are currently in planning to compose their first album in collaboration with John Wright, as well as developing the final piece of the robot band puzzle: a robot lead vocalist.
Offers have been made to sign the robot band to a record label, but the band is looking to release their album independently. Planned release as of now is July 2016. For more information and to support them, you can visit their website.
