Epic Game just released a teaser for a PC based shooter game named Paragon. It was announced this Tuesday and it’s set to roll out in early 2016, but no further details have been disclosed. Fans have been given playable character footage, though, with sinister looking cyborgs like Twinblast.
The game has since gotten its own website, where users can unlock in-game items and find out more about the Paragon characters. The last message Epic gives gamers is to prepare for victory, and it’s begun to cause quite a stir in the gaming community.
The website reveals other playable hero names, such as Steel, Sparrow, Dekker and Grux, and names are pretty much everything fans get. Epic Games hopes to release more Paragon teasers; it announced that it will sequentially reveal details about its characters. Steel’s details come out November 12, Sparrow’s on the 19th, Dekker’s on the 24th, and Grux’s December 3.
There’s a beta that gamers can sign up for, but there’s no launch date on it. Gamers that do sign up will be able to unlock an item for Twinblast in Paragon once the beta does start.
In other news, Epic Games launched a $5 million grant program for the funding of several projects built around their new Unreal Engine 4 tool suite. The details say that the company is giving out no strings attached grants betwwen $5,000-$50,000 to projects that have reached the working prototype stage of development.
