LG Display is looking to take over the world with their new focus on OLED screens. They are going to be spending a pretty penny for their new factory that they want to build to make these new screens. Around $9 billion will be spent on this project, and that is certainly not pocket change.

LG DISPLAY’S OFFICIAL PLAN

LG Display officially announced earlier this summer that they would be spending the next three years working on developing these advanced screens for TV’s, smartwatches, and any other automotive displays. They have also stated that these new OLED screens will reduce overall power usage, make the devices thinner, and also have brighter and clearer colors. It has also been rumored that this technology could end up replacing the liquid-crystal displays that are used in smartphones. LG Display’s biggest customer and fan is undoubtedly Apple. Apple accounts for around 25 percent of their total sales. When the day comes where LG Display releases their new OLED screens, it can be automatically assumed that Apple will be the first taker.

OTHER DISPLAY COMPANIES, THE TIME IS NOW

LG Display is looking to surpass every other display company in the world with this new revelation and with the way that the business world works, it can be expected that other companies that develop screens will retort. The question is will it even matter given what LG Display has in store. Technology companies always seem to achieve the impossible, so it should not be a surprise to see other main companies retaliate after this news. However, for now, LG Display is on top of the mountain as they will soon begin on developing these new and improved OLED screens.

HOW COOL WILL THESE SCREENS BE?

Unfortunately, people around the world are going to have to be patient and wait for these new screens. Technology devices are also never going to be developed within days either, as it takes a long time for companies to develop them. However, the wait may well prove to be worth it as LG Display has touted these screens to the best yet. As great as LCD and LED screens are now, it is amazing to think that the company is going to make a screen to surpass both of them.
