New Study Shows that Dental Fillings are Useless

Let’s face it, nobody likes getting fillings for cavities. It is something that nobody enjoys and everyone would be fine avoiding. Now, a recent study by the University of Sydney shows that dental fillings may be useless. This is great news for everyone in the world!

DENTAL FILLINGS STUDY BY SYDNEY

Researchers at the University of Sydney announced that this was a seven-year study. They stated that they tested around 1,000 people. What they did was to compare a treatment via drill and a treatment that involved fluoride and patients not eating sugary foods. They reported that the people who used the fluoride had a near 50 percent decrease of the need for fillings. Also, people who had previously been getting multiple fillings a year, who were tested, had their percentage decreased by 80.

THE CONCLUSION OF DENTAL FILLINGS

The lead researcher of this study, Wendell Evans, commented that the conclusion is that dental fillings can be avoided with simple treatments. He basically said it was not necessary for people to get them because the dental decay does not require it. Evans continued and said that decay develops slowly and sometimes takes up to eight years before it grows to a potential danger. He states that this is plenty of time to detect the decay and treat it before a filling would be necessary.

DENTAL FILLINGS COULD BE CHANGED

So, with this news it is a wonder if fillings will be altered in the future. Dental practices could end up changing and less dental fillings may occur. The world without fillings would be a great world indeed. Of course, as long as they are not needed. This may be one of the most well-accepted studies in quite a while. This is just for the simple fact that this could prevent, what are being called, useless fillings.
