Nintendo has Sony and Microsoft beat when it comes to kids. Of course, this is talking about the Wii U. This system has not been the best effort that Nintendo has made. However, kids might get more out of it than adults.
WII U AMIIBO MAKE IT PERFECT FOR KIDS
There is one major reason why this system is perfect for kids and that is because of Amiibo. Amiibo is basically a near field communication-based platform that allows compatible figurines to link with certain video games. There are hundreds of Amiibo figures and they have taken on a life of their own. They have honestly become more popular than any game that Nintendo can release for the system. Obviously, figurines and dolls cater to kids as they are usually in the phase where they like them. This is why Amiibo is absolutely perfect for younger people.
THE WII U IS PERFECT FOR KIDS IN MORE WAYS THAN JUST AMIIBO
Nintendo, with the Wii and Wii U, has been known to have more games that cater to families and children. Not many horror, first person shooter, extremely graphic video games are going to be found on the Wii U. There are some, but the majority of those games will be found on the PS4 and Xbox One. Nintendo is just not a company that likes to implement blood, guts, violence, profanity, etc. into their video games.
IS THIS GOOD FOR THE WII U
Unfortunately, this type of strategy has not done the greatest. The current generation of gaming is not catered towards family party games. Nintendo can no doubt still produce elite games like Super Mario 3D World, but the lack of adult gaming most likely hurts them. Platformers are not the dominant genre anymore, but violent games, such as shooting games, are. However, for parents this is the system to get your child for Christmas. Not much material will have to be worried about with the Wii U.
