The starting price for this laptop is $999. It’s a significant difference to it’s main competitors, especially Apple’s Macbook series. Its touchscreen display is made up of 2560×1440-pixel super HD resolution. It also features a Core i7 processor, 8GB or memory and 128GB of solid-state storage. All of that is in the ultra thin 2.75 pounds, designed in a unibody aluminium frame. For a little extra, customers can get a 4K resolution display that supports every part of the Adobe RGB color spectrum and has a 512GB SSD).

The Perfect Laptop for Gamers

Every single unit of the Razer Blade Stealth features a RGB backlit keyboard. This would make it the first of its kind. Every key can be customized to light up in the user’s color of choice. Buyers even have the choice to set patterns to animate the keyboard lights. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise since the firm is first and foremost a gaming company.

Follow Up Announcement: The Razer Core

Razer also announced the launch of a new external graphics docking station. It’s set to launch throughout the first half of 2016. It will support any recent full-size desktop-grade graphics card made by Nvidia or AMD. The Razer Core will also support external monitors and will have an Ethernet cable slot. It will also feature four USB ports.

The Core and the Stealth can be connected through a single reversible USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 cable. This can extend screens to the monitor and add to gamer’s peripheral vision. It can also serve as a laptop charger and improve the laptop’s performance at the same time. Disconnecting the devices will not interrupt gaming in the least, and they can even be replaced while powered.

There are a couple of drawbacks to this new laptop. Razer revealed that the laptop only runs on 8 hours of battery on the standard version, with 6 hours on the 4K version. There’s a chance those numbers are actually a little lower.

There’s also no price tag attached to the Core, nor is there any information regarding which devices will support it. Right now, it’s set to be compatible only with the Stealth. The new laptop will be available in the Microsoft Store in February, but it is on sale on the Razer US website today to ship in February. There hasn’t been any information released about availability of these devices outside of the United States.
