New Xbox Update Rolls to Xbox One Preview Today

The extensive list of updates will be hitting Windows 10 PC and mobile Xbox Beta app members by next week. Gamers will not be able to see who is in a Party before they join it, and they can even view profiles of friends. Players will be able to see who else those friends are playing with, and even message them. This is thanks to the new ‘Chat’ button.

The Gamerscore Leaderboard has been implemented onto the Xbox One Preview platform. Gamers can go to Achievements and see the Leaderboard. This chart displays how gamers are ranked compared to their friends by gamerscore. It also shows the biggest gains over every 30 day period. This feature will also share a full list of a gamer’s friends.

A Few Adjustments Can Change the Whole Gaming Experience

Thanks to this update, gamers are now able to move Pins on the Home screen, and access them while offline. The Activity Feed in Xbox One has been updated so that it has improved browsing. The Preview and Game Hubs screens now have a shortcut so gamers can easily join friends’ Twitch broadcasts. Much like the PS4, Xbox One has a ‘Friend Suggestions’ tab. This includes the gamertags, real names, gamerpic or Avatar of people or content creators you might know. The new update also lets gamers hide games from the ‘ready-to-install’ list.

Xbox One Preview and Xbox Beta App Updates Make Gaming Better Than On PS4

The Avatar Store has been upgraded with more items, including free ones. Xbox News has also been updated so that it becomes a part of gamer’s activity feeds. This just makes it a lot easier for gamers to stay updated on all things Xbox. The ‘Trending’ tab will allow gamers to browse through the most popular topics on Xbox Live, as well as top videos, screenshots of gameplay, achievements and more.

The Xbox App is going compact in January. Now the app will be much easier to navigate, and much simpler, too.
