When it comes to using the messaging services, one thing should be kept in mind and that is that Gmail is better than MSN Hotmail. Do you not believe me? Well, the following three reasons will justify why Gmail is indeed better than Hotmail.
REASON 1: MESSAGES
What is the most important aspect to an online messaging service? The obvious answer is messages, and it is indeed the most important. The main reason why Gmail is better with messages is the fact that the interface remains the same. When you compose a message, all of the labels and chat icons remain on the side. However, when you compose a message with Hotmail, it brings you to an entirely different page where you can not view these features. Also, if you leave a Gmail post, it will automatically save it as a draft. MSN, on the other hand, will only warn you that a draft has not been saved yet.
REASON 2: SOCIAL NETWORKING
As of right now, Google has worked very hard to improve their social networks. Gmail is linked to Google+, and the latter is their social networking service. The great thing is it only takes one click to go there, and it is a relatively easy experience. Hotmail does not necessarily do a bad job with this, but it is not as good as Google’s. The former allows you to see the updates of the receiver’s Twitter and Facebook feeds.
REASON 3: SECURITY
Now, we turn to the main reason why Gmail outshines Hotmail, and that is security. If you log in to your Google account from another device, then they will let you know about it. They have a two-factor authentication, and it allows you to know if someone logged onto your account. However, MSN does not offer this to their Hotmail. As a matter of fact, they do not even have the word security on any of their options page. How could you make a messaging service without focusing on security?
