For those of you who are unaware, Google Glass is a device that is worn like a pair of prescribed glasses. It has many features, like the ability to take photos, record videos, and a touchpad based interface. However, this device does not have very many redeeming qualities. Honestly, to put it lightly, these glasses s**k!
REASON 1: THE POWER BUTTON
Now, we are not talking about the actual power of the device, but where the power button is placed. It is literally located inside of the eyeglass temple, and it is very hard to push when they are on your face. The easiest thing to do is to take them off, and then push the power button. However, why should it be necessary to have to take off the glasses every time you want to shut them down or turn them off? The good thing is, this is a very easy problem to fix. All the company has to do is just move the power button on the Google Glass from the inside to the outside.
REASON 2: OUTDOOR VISIBILITY
Given that Google Glass is primarily going to be used outside, outside visibility becomes a huge factor. The problem is these glasses do not work very well on a sunny day. When the sun is shining bright, it becomes extremely difficult to see the screen on Google Glass. This is not an issue on cloudy days, but it is really unfortunate that the weather will determine if you can see what’s happening on this device.
REASON 3: GOOGLE GLASS MOVES TO THE WORKPLACE
The fact that Google is aiming their product to the workplace is not the issue. The issue is, this means that the general public is not going to be able to buy Google Glass anymore. As of right now, Google closed down all of their social media accounts that were promoting the product. The workplace edition of this product has now completely superseded the home edition.
