Top 2 Reasons Why New Toyota Prius 2016 Ad is Silly Clapway

Whenever February comes around there are a few things that you can count on. Firstly, the two best teams in the NFL are preparing to face each other in the Super Bowl. Secondly, you are going to see an outrageous amount of silly, and sometimes really stupid, advertisements. Usually, companies will wait for the Super Bowl to unveil their new ads, but Toyota has already released one of theirs. They recently released their newest add for their Prius. This ad, to say the least, is silly, and that can be taken in more than one context.

Top 2 Reasons Why New Toyota Prius 2016 Ad is Silly Clapway

FIRST REASON THE TOYOTA PRIUS AD IS SILLY

This ad has been dubbed Heck on Wheels, and that is the song that the driver is singing during the entire commercial. The driver is actually not too bad of a signer, but the lyrics of the song make it worth mentioning. Basically, during the entire length of the video, he is singing about how cool the Prius is, and also expressing some of the features about the car. If the company decided to get a transcript of the lyrics, then they could have themselves a number one hit.

SECOND REASON THE TOYOTA PRIUS ADD IS SILLY

The second reason is actually a specific part of the advertisement. Around the half way mark of the ad, the driver ends up getting pulled over for going too fast. However, instead of giving him a ticket the police officers simply drive past him. The ad showed a very attractive woman, shocker, in the passenger seat as they drove by. She gave the driver of the Prius a look of satisfaction, and the entire scene was quite entertaining. Although, I can’t imagine that if this happened in real life a police officer would do this. However, let’s be honest, nobody takes any of these advertisements seriously anyway.
