One of the most anticipated games of 2016 is almost here. Of course, I am talking about Street Fighter 5 and the hype for this game has been unreal.
This is no surprise given how good these games have been in the past, and the world is finally ready to play the latest installment. There are two incredible facts about this game that are going to make it or break it for most fans.
FACT 1: THE NEW LOOK FOR KEN
In Street Fighter 5, Capcom decided to give one of the most popular characters, Ken, a completely different look. He now has blonde hair and a completely different attire. To no surprise, many fans have expressed their outrage at this decision, but the producer assured them that it would be fine. Yoshinori Ono, the producer of Street Fighter 5, released a statement in which he notified that they heard that people were not happy with Ken’s new look. Ono mentions how they didn’t change his look because they hated him, but because of the way the story progresses. He promised everyone that they would understand the changes once they played the story mode. It was also reassured that there was not a banana on top of his head!
FACT 2: THE NEW V-GAUGE FEATURE
The newest feature to Street Fighter 5 is the V-Gauge, and it builds up as players receive attacks. There are three different techniques that can be used, the V-Skills, V-Reversals, and V-Triggers. The V-Skills give special attacks to each character. The V-Reversals, which do what you would imagine, allow the character to use a portion of the gauge to counter an attack. Lastly, the V-Triggers uses the entire gauge bar, and characters can then use a special attack. There is no doubt that these features are going to add a special element to this game. Street Fighter 5 is almost here, and the wait is nearly over!
