J.J. Watt has been the most dominant defensive player in the NFL for three straight seasons.
FACT 1: HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO TECHNOLOGY
J.J. Watt was asked who takes responsibility to equip athletes with the best technology. He humbly responded and said that he takes a lot of it on his shoulders. He said he feels like he is the leader of his locker room and even a leader in the NFL. The trust has been garnered by his peers, and J.J. Watt said he was truly thankful for that. This is no surprise because he has become one of the most beloved NFL players in the game. It is not just for his play, though, his leadership has been well known around the league, and this proves it.
FACT 2: DISCOVERING NEW TECHNOLOGY
With the way technology works now, people can communicate with each other in any way possible. However, J.J. Watt said that he discovers new technology the old school way. Instead of communicating via social media, he said he literally just speaks with people around the league. He gave the example of talking to, ultra-popular baseball player, Bryce Harper and discussing the newest products created. It is sad to think that many people won’t do this anymore, but sometimes going old school is the way to go.
FACT 3: WORKING FOR GATORADE
J.J. Watt expressed his pleasure with working for Gatorade because he said they will always run with an idea that an athlete gives them. It is also nice because whatever the athlete’s idea is, Gatorade has the tools and resources to create it. An example he gave was going to them and letting then know that an idea could help athletes hydrate. Overall, J.J. Watt noted that Gatorade is a blast to work with because you can always give them ideas.
