Space is one of the greatest mysterious to mankind. Sure, the world does know a lot about it, but there are also a plethora of unknowns. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, is certainly as interested as anyone is about space.
Over the last year, many times Mark Zuckerberg has gotten on Facebook and posted about space.
REASON 1
Earlier this month, Mark Zuckerberg decided to release a video on Facebook that showed a 360-degree view of NASA’s Curiosity Rover. This rover has been photographing Mars, and this video allows people to get a “virtual reality” viewing of Mars. He is not the one that created the video, he just decided to post it on the website. He noted how this is just an example of what the world can do with virtual reality, and he called it amazing.
REASON 2
Did you ever know that Mark Zuckerberg was into Star Wars? Well, if you didn’t then you do now. Anyway, late last year he posted a picture of his daughter dressed up in Star Wars gear. She was also surrounded by a bunch of Star Wars toys, and it was quite an adorable picture. He did this just before the premier of the big movie, and all he said was the force is strong with this one.
REASON 3
In the last quarter of 2015, Mark Zuckerberg posted on Facebook that the company was planning to go to space. He stated that they were planning on sending a satellite into space and that this would send internet access to different parts of the world. Zuckerberg also pointed out how the company wants to do this to continue to connect the outside world. In his post, it was also mentioned that Facebook would be partnering with Eutelsat to try and accomplish this feat. At the time, the launch date was being planned for 2016.
